Hi Vendors,

An interesting weekend bazaar will be happening this March holiday! Featuring Margaret Market, a 2-storey compact modern market compound newly revamped in August last year, catering to the residences nearby, next to Margaret Drive Hawker Centre and a short walk from the Queenstown MRT. A modern refresh from its wet market predecessor, it is part of an ongoing RC initiative to invigorate and uncover market traction in the densely populated Queenstown estate with local brands, F&B and retail. To create something unique for the community, the market houses a variety of curated tenants such as Ya Kun, a range of specialty and fusion foods with local culinary twists, a café, artisanal bakery and desserts, fresh fruit grocer, medical centre, bistro bar, and even a gym.

The unique tenant mix and revamped space was met with much excitement during its opening in 2023, graced by a visit from the Minister of State Ms Low Yen Ling and featured widely across print, broadcast, online and social media (an estimated of 173 media coverage and $1.4 mil in PR value). What used to be a traditional wet market is now a cozy and inviting space for community gatherings, notably during the weekends.

We will be hosting an exciting weekend bazaar at Margaret Market with a complementary theme aimed at fostering a space for get-togethers. By injecting new sights with festive décor, a lifestyle and crafts bazaar, along with workshops and fun activities for families and children, we aim to create a comprehensive neighbourhood destination for the weekend. For this event, we are also happy to have the support of the Residents’ Committee (RC) and the market, who will help to advertise the event widely to district residents through physical and online channels. On our part, we will enhance visibility through posters in the vicinity prior to the event as well.

Having new local brands at Margaret Market will give them a leg-up in terms of rental, market traction and access to a densely populated area, she added.
